Job Description: Operating and maintaining instruments for hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis Interpreting and troubleshooting quality control results to ensure accurate and precise test results Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory instrumentation Following all policies, procedures and guidelines necessary for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulatory compliance and in accordance with CLIA and CLSI Using a validated computer system to receive and process orders, and provide test results Participating in CAP proficiency surveys Developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOP)s Designing and implementing procedures for instrument qualification and method validation Completing all mandatory internal training and following implemented health and safety requirements Completing additional training to develop competency in new methods as they are implemented Standing, sitting, lifting up to 40lbs (on occasion), pipetting and other general lab tasks Qualifications: Relevant laboratory experience and knowledge demonstrated through: B.S./B.A. in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience MLS (ASCP), or AMT certification is
