Job Description: The SMAO Line Manager II role reports into the Clinical Study Leadership (CSL) SMAO Director and is a people leader responsible for the direct management of a cohesive regional team of 15-17 Study Management Associates (SMAs), who serve as front-line study execution staff. They position their direct reports for success to deliver best-in-class study execution. They are responsible for providing the necessary guidance and support for SMAs to master new skills, maximize operational efficiencies, and reach their full potential. This position is open to candidates anywhere in the US. Responsibilities Drive for best-in-class study execution by creating a globally inclusive, innovative, empowering environment built around skill enhancement, strategic/critical thinking, and continuous learning. Performance management of direct reports, including but not limited to collecting stakeholder feedback, conducting and documenting performance discussions, setting clear and measurable goals, performing goal progress updates, and other business HR-related requirements.
