Job Description: Responsibilities Perform routine histology activities including wet tissue trimming, processing, embedding, microtomy, H&E staining, and quality control on human and/or animal tissue samples. Consistently generate high-quality histological slides. Develop, troubleshoot, and execute complex staining protocols for single and multiplex immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization techniques. Consult relevant literature to understand the scientific purpose of assignments and contribute primarily through laboratory activities. Learn and effectively implement new experimental protocols and techniques in collaboration with pathologists to address scientific questions. Maintain and optimize laboratory equipment, operations, supplies, and reagents for efficient workflow. Analyze, interpret, and evaluate results at each tissue processing step to ensure quality control and promptly recognize and report any experimental variances. Prepare, section, and stain Tissue Microarray blocks. Operate whole slide scanners to create and manage digital whole slide images. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with typically 3 or more years' experience OR Master's Degree (no additional experience) HT (ASCP) certification preferred, though candidates with strong biology skills
