The Associate Director, Business Operations is a creative and hands-on contributor responsible for commercial operations, business planning, pricing and deal support, and cross-functional process optimization. This role partners with commercial leadership to improve execution, enable growth, and translate business needs into operating requirements, analytics, and system enhancements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Support core sales and commercial operations activities, including budgeting support, incentive compensation administration or design support, and operational policies. - Own territory design and optimization in partnership with commercial leaders. - Partner with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve productivity, and remove operational friction. - Develop business requirements for IT and systems projects; act as the business lead for process and capability enhancements. - Define, implement, and operationalize value-added analytics that support commercial decision making. - Ensure close coordination across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and IT. - Manage and optimize commercial contracting workflows and approval processes. - Run commercial deal desk and pricing approval processes, balancing speed, consistency, and risk management. - Develop pricing guidelines, guardrails, and governance in partnership with relevant stakeholders. - Monitor operating performance, surface risks, and recommend corrective actions to leadership. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Concord, CA. Also open to remote candidates from outside SF bay area. Summary & Scope of Position: Primarily responsible for assuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements (FDA, MDD, MDR and MDSAP) and ISO standards with focus on ensuring high quality product and production continuity at suppliers with current and new Cerus products. Supports warehouse and distribution quality activities and batch release. Will provide GMP and ISO 13485 compliance support, as necessary. Primary responsibilities: - Work with suppliers to ensure compliance with raw material, in-process, and final product specifications. Create or update new specifications based on changes to the product and processes. Set quality requirements for Cerus and ensure that suppliers are adhering to requirements. - Provide on-site support at the supplier's location for resolving production issues to ensure product quality and business continuity. Work on implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of supplier related KPIs. - Create, review and approve risk assessments and supplier corrective actions for deviations and non-conformances at suppliers. Summary & Scope of Position: Provide strategic and operational leadership for Analytical Development and Quality Control supporting Cerus' CMC and combination product (drug-device) programs. Responsible for oversight of analytical method lifecycle-including development, qualification, validation, transfer, and ongoing lifecycle management-ensuring compliance with global regulatory expectations and cGMP requirement. Partner cross-functionally with CMC, Device/Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs, as well as external CMOs/CDMOs to establish and maintain robust analytical and quality control strategies supporting clinical development through commercialization of Cerus' small molecule and device-based products with select support for biologic/plasma derived components as applicable.
