Candidates must understand basic customer service and food/beverage safety principles. The role involves using equipment like manual espresso machines, drip brewers, grinders, and serving utensils. Daily tasks include handling customer orders/inquiries, maintaining food service spaces, and setting up/working stations at various outlets per leadership specifications. Barista (Food Service Worker) Air Force Academy, Colorado Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Arnold Hall, Polaris Perk Coffee Shop at Air Force Academy, Colorado. This position does not include benefits. Duties Prepares specialty beverages in a free standing specialty coffee operation. Operates a commercial grade espresso machine. Grinds fresh coffee beans. Prepares beverage by adjusting the grind of the beans, dosing the amount of coffee to be used, tamps down the ground coffee in the basket and obtains the desired extraction.
