About this role

Occupational Therapist Orlando, Florida We are seeking a Consistent Per Diem team member to provide coverage for full-time staff during vacations, leaves of absence, and to support evaluations and treatment of our participants. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a flexible schedule. We are looking for a candidate who can provide 10-20 hours of coverage per week at our Orlando location . WE ARE CURRENTLY OFFERING $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE! The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides occupational therapy evaluations and treatment plans to participants. All participant care provided is in accordance with applicable InnovAge policies and state regulations. Provides clinical occupational therapy evaluation and treatment on an acute, restorative and maintenance level to program participants. Assesses condition, creates a treatment plan and discusses implementation of therapy with participant or caretaker(s). Integrates occupational therapy treatment plan in the team Plan of Care (POC). Assists in the ordering, inventory, distribution, and maintenance of durable medical equipment for participants. Makes home visits/educational sessions as needed and indicated in the POC, and documents activities including participant/caregiver response in participant's chart. Educates participants and family members in proper care and use of various supports and exercise programs in addition to the use of durable medical equipment (DME). Administers treatment program per referral from assessments from the interdisciplinary team (IDT) Instructs family members, caregivers, and staff in methods to maximize safety and functional abilities in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) with documentation in medical record notes.
