The Waymo Driver powers Waymo's fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states. You will: - Develop, test, and deploy features for Waymo's next-generation offboard weather systems and infrastructure under the guidance of tech leads. - Implement and maintain scalable data pipelines for weather data ingestion, processing, and storage. - Contribute to the development and enhancement of real-time and forecasting weather applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering partners to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions. - Ensure high performance, code health, and stability for systems vital to safe fleet operations in diverse weather environments. - Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and write comprehensive technical documentation. You Have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. - 4+ years of experience programming in backend coding languages. - Strong foundation in computer science (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems). - Excellent collaboration
