Mechanic Arcola, IL, United States Company Description: Job Description: Who will you be working with? You will be a key part of our Operations team and support our customers by effectively assembling and tearing down mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Arcola Operations team, you will be responsible for applying your mechanical skills to assemble world-class Roadway Work Equipment. What do we want to know about you? HS Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of three (3) years experience (Trade school or college classes may be substituted for experience) Must have the ability to read and understand drawings and schematics Knowledge of hand tools and their proper and safe use Basic Electrical wiring skills Knowledge of air arcing, gas cutting and plasma cutting What will your typical day look like? Clean parts as required using solvent tank or pressure washer Determine identity and locate components and transport them to work area Obtain necessary tools and equipment Plan assembly and wiring sequence for point to point, direct or harness wiring Lubricate, change fluids/filters, and fuel machinery Assemble and build experimental machines as directed Setup, align and assemble parts, sub-assemblies and complete machine with emphasizes on quality Handle material, tools and equipment manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as required Rebuild machinery and clean, repair, reassemble, and adjust machine as necessary Spray paint parts as required using aerosol paint Other projects and tasks as assigned
