About this role
Material Manager Guinea Conakry, , Guinea Company Description: Job Description: Job Summary: The Material manager will be responsible for managing the warehouse operations at the customer facility. This includes overseeing all material-related activities, such as forecasting, inventory management, procurement, and ensuring timely availability of materials for locomotive maintenance. The Material manager will also lead a team of Material Specialists and collaborate closely with the Technical team to support efficient and effective project execution. This role will be based in Guinea near the port of Morebaya on a rotational basis (FIFO) of 60 days ON (in Guinea) and 15 days OFF (in the home country). The operation is 24/7 running two 12 hour shifts. Employees will work 6 days a week one shift. Accommodation will be provided at the maintenance facility. Mobilization and demobilization air and land transportation will be provided. You will keep the employment contract with the Wabtec company where you are currently located. This role will be eligible for an assignment allowance and overtime. Responsibilities: Material Planning and Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for material requirements based on project schedules, repair plans, and historical data.
