Business Title Technical Field Service and Technical Advising Specialist Conakry, , Guinea Company Description: Job Description: Technical Advisor - FIFO Job Summary: The Technical Advisor will provide Wabtec Locomotive technical advice to Wabtec subcontracted maintenance staff for all covered locomotives on the customer rail network. Successful candidate will, amongst others: Ensure that locomotive servicing are completed in a timely manner, safely and to the agreed Maintenance Instructions (MI's); Provide trouble shooting advice to maintenance technical personnel; Work closely with Reliability Engineers to improve key locomotive performance KPI's; Ensures material is provided by the Wabtec material management team 'Just in Time' (JIT) for all maintenance opportunities; Works closely with the other relevant stakeholders to ensure all locomotives that depart customer maintenance shops are best prepared to complete 100% successful journeys; Engage and discuss Wabtec technical products with customer and subcontracting team to improve reliability / productivity and other KPIs. This role will be based in Guinea near the port of Morebaya on a rotational basis(FIFO) of 60 days on and 15 days off. The operation is 24/7 running two 12 hour shifts. Accommodation will be provided at the facility. Mobilization and demobilization, air and land transportation will be provided. This role will be eligible for an assignment allowance and overtime. Main Duties: Reporting directly to the Lead Technical Advisor this role will; Respond and execute on requests for planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, failure analysis, field modification oversight, issue feedback and engineering support; Providing training and assistance to customers and subcontractor
