Duties & Responsibilities: Design and implement optical filters which meet customer requirements for consumer electronics, bio medical devices, gas monitoring, fluorescence microscopy, astronomy, light sensing, projection display, and other applications. Develop and/or improve processes for manufacturing optical coatings. The assignment will encompass optical coating design, substrate preparation, substrate / wafer handling, vacuum-based coating processes such as sputter deposition, post-coating optical metrology, and other processes. Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: Required Qualifications: Minimum B.S. in Material Science, Physical, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Engineering or related field. Excellent communication, presentation, and interaction skills. Analytical thinker; detail oriented; problem solver. Proficient with computers: strong proficiency with MS Excel and Office required Experience in vacuum engineering, vacuum processes, thin film deposition and optics highly desirable. At least 10 years of experience required Must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR.
