About this role
Sr. Director, Legal Chicago, Illinois, United States; Irvine, California, United States; Los Angeles, California, United States; New York, United States WHAT YOU'LL DO The Sr. Director, Legal will play a key role in supporting the company's commercial operations by drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of complex agreements across Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Marketing. This role will also provide strategic guidance on day-to-day privacy, compliance, and operational matters in a fast-paced advertising technology environment. THE DAY-TO-DAY - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements relating to digital advertising, including MSAs, data protection agreements, data licenses, advertising supply agreements, insertion orders, SaaS agreements, and professional services contracts. - Advise on structuring transactions, contract and privacy compliance, and a variety of commercial and operational issues. - Lead the creation and implementation of commercial contracting policies and compliance practices. - Draft and review various marketing materials, including press releases, white papers, blogs, and video scripts. - Support other legal department activities, such as litigation, M&A, employment, and IP portfolio management, on an as-needed basis. GREAT TO HAVE - 10+ years of legal experience, including substantial experience working in an in-house legal department, preferably with a focus in adtech, media, or advertising. - Significant experience negotiating agreements with Fortune 500 media companies and brands. - Proven ability to advise senior-level executives and form strong relationships with business counterparts. - Solid understanding of data privacy in an adtech context.
