Thesis Topic: Data Lineage for enhanced Data Lake Governance Project Description: Data lineage is a critical component of data governance, providing a comprehensive view of the flow and transformation of data across an organization. It tracks the lifecycle of data from its source to its destination, ensuring transparency, traceability, and accuracy. By capturing the origins, transformation, and usage of data, data lineage will help Verisign manage their data assets more effectively, reduce compliance risks, and enhance decision-making processes. The goal of this project is to perform a state-of-the-art analysis of the available solutions that can be integrated to Verisign data lake. The tool will represent graphically the lineage of each dataset stored on the data lake and being transformed by a multitude of services. It will be integrated with our Control Plane, a home-grown tool to manage resources and datasets internally.
