Within Verisign, our Data Engineering Team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining large-scale, high-throughput (millions requests per second) data products and services delivering actionable operational and business intelligence. To help us advance our products, we are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Data Engineer. An ideal candidate should deeply care about all steps of data lifecycle (ingestion, enhancement, storage, processing, visualization), be fluent in a JVM-based language, and be eager to learn as needed. They should have an understanding of fundamentals including core Computer Science concepts accompanied by hands-on problem-solving experience ideally involving large-scale distributed systems. Obtaining these competencies often requires an equivalent of a bachelor's degree and 5 years of practical work experience. We are also open to other career paths. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of data engineering, including ideation, design, implementation, deployment, customer onboarding, and support. This will often imply regular cross-team collaboration with Verisign Data Platform, Business, Infrastructure, Engineering, Security, and Operations.
