About this role
Senior VMware System Engineer Bangalore, KA, India Bangalore, KA, India What success looks like in this role: • Provides Systems Administration support for multiple organizations across the company. • Engages with clients to gather specifications, requirements and systems expectations. • Analyzes and recommends commercially available hardware and software capable of meeting network, systems and user requirements. • Contributes to the design, development and maintenance of Systems Administration's infrastructure (routers, switches and application load balancers). • Provides Systems Administration hands-on support, troubleshooting and technical guidance. • Configures and maintains large VMware environments. • Designs hardware and software performance, stress and load tests, and makes recommendations based on results. • Conducts training sessions with users and Systems Administration team members. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage VMware infrastructure. Configure and maintain hypervisors including VxRack and VxRail. Integrate and manage NetApp FlexPod solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of VMware environments. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies. Ensure compliance with GMP practices in all aspects of infrastructure management. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VMware-related issues. Stay updated with the latest VMware technologies and industry trends. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience with VMware technologies. Proficiency in hypervisors such as VxRack and VxRail. Experience with NetApp FlexPod. Strong communication skills to effectively plan, design, and implement complex VMware infrastructure. Familiarity with GMP practices. Coding skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) are advantageous. Ability to work independently and
