About this role

Enterprise Cloud Architect Kansas City MO UMB's Enterprise Cloud Architect team was recently formed to streamline and accelerate adoption of the Cloud. The team provides self-service means to empower other teams to deploy cloud-native platforms while ensuring security, governance, architectural best-practice, cost containment, and control. The team works to provide architecture, tools, services, knowledge, support, organization structure, and operating model arranged as a compelling product. As an Enterprise Cloud Architect , you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for defining and evolving the organization's cloud-native platform and enterprise architecture strategy. This role uniquely combines enterprise architecture vision, solutions design expertise, and hands-on cloud engineering to enable enterprise-wide cloud adoption while maintaining alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. You will lead enterprise responses to disruptive forces and emerging technology trends by identifying and orchestrating the execution of change toward desired business vision and outcomes. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO. How you'll spend your time: Enterprise Architecture & Strategy: Define enterprise cloud strategy, reference architectures, and design patterns aligned with business modernization roadmaps. Lead enterprise architecture discipline across domains in conjunction with business and IT leadership. Identify and analyze emerging technology trends relevant to the organization. Lead strategy development for assigned domains and detect critical deficiencies, legacy systems, and technical debt.
