Robot Puppeteer (Contractor) New York City | OnSite About Tuesday Tuesday Labs builds delightful robots. The Role We are seeking passionate and clever performing artists to operate our robots as we test the personality, interactions, and behaviors of our robot character. You will draw on your experience as an actor or puppeteer to embody the different characters that we have created for the robot as we test these characters with users. Using an AR headset, you will operate the robot, performing household tasks and interacting with users in test environments. Responsibilities: - Operate the robot using a VR headset to interact with humans. This will include speaking into a microphone, controlling gaze, controlling emotive body movement, and executing house cleaning tasks. - Test out new hardware and software, and provide feedback to the design and engineering teams. - Generate new ideas for robot character traits based on user tests. Required Qualifications: - You have been paid for acting or puppeteering (or similar) work in the last 2 years. - Ability to communicate clearly and promptly. - Ability to work in New York City, most often in Flatiron.
