Aluminum Extrusion Operator - 2nd Shift Niles, MI, United States JOB TITLE: Extrusion Operator REPORTS TO: Shift Facilitator with the direction from the Team Captain SHIFT DAYS /HOURS : 2nd Shift Position Monday to Friday (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) (40+ hours). Saturday could be scheduled as needed. Training will be on 1st shift Monday to Thursday (7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Friday and Saturday scheduled as needed. STARTING PAY: $20.96 to $27.52 based on Aluminum Extrusion experience. As an Extrusion Operator, you may be required to perform various tasks, including loading and starting Age Ovens, monitoring and removing press scrap, staging racks, loading metal and spacers, and ensuring the saw crew has all necessary supplies. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing the Stretching Operation, which involves inputting stretcher parameters for each order, initiating Auto-stretch, and visually monitoring parts for over-stretch or under-stretch conditions. It is important to keep your work areas clean and safe. To qualify for this role, you must be able to read and understand a tape measure, operate the overhead crane, drive Combi/Forklift, lift to 50 pounds, and read and understand shop orders. What You Will Be Responsible For: Loading and starting Age Ovens Unload Age Ovens Operator an Overhead Crane Monitoring and removing press scrap Staging Racks Loading metal and spacers Stretcher Operation Visually monitoring parts for over-stretch or under-stretch conditions Saw Operation Must be able to read and understand a tape measure Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor.
