We are currently hiring for a Production Supervisor on day shift in our Traverse City facility. This position is responsible for supervising the work of bargained (UAW) employees on the shop floor, and for driving continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, production, and housekeeping. Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities Manage production in home area while improving safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Participate in continuous improvement efforts through Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives. Set work schedules for area of responsibility, and manage cross training schedules for direct reports. Determine root cause solutions for quality issues, safety issues, and production issues in area of responsibility. Job Requirements / Knowledge and Experience HS Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree Preferred. 1-2 years' supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment, preferrably in a union environment. Understanding of OSHA & MIOSHA safety standards as they apply in a manufacturing environment.
