Senior Full-Stack Engineer Remote - US, Los Angeles, California, United States Remote - US & Canada thatgamecompany is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support our flagship title Sky: Children of the Light , by developing applications to facilitate game operation functions. Our internally-developed applications are a fundamental capability enabling our company to live-operate Sky: Children of Light with millions of active users generating terabytes of data per day. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report to the Lead Software Engineer, developing software for applications that support internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities Software Development - Identify issues and create solutions independently, understanding how to complete a task from start to finish - Participate in brainstorming sessions to design and document features with scalability in mind - Build backend API and frontend components and pages with strong knowledge of Node JS, Next JS, and SQL - Meet with individual team members and the full ITS team weekly to discuss progress and ideas - Interact with different departments of the company to discover and address problems and needs - Contribute to thatgamecompany's unique culture and vision Key Qualifications Professional Experience - 4+ years of professional programming experience - Experience building modern REST APIs in Node.js - Experience with writing Typescript packages - Experience using modern front-end Javascript frameworks (e.g., React, Next, Hooks) - Experience designing data structures and querying relational and non-relational database technologies such as Postgresql, Redis, MongoDB, etc. - Experience with Git version control system -
