Role Overview Reporting to the Superintendent, the Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, leading, coordinating and executing projects related to, maintenance activities, outages, and emergency work. Key Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Support the project lead for studies and execution planning to develop and implement projects. Prepare appropriation requests and feasibility studies Review maintenance scopes, design criteria, equipment specification, and constructability to ensure scope of work is well defined and the execution plan is achievable Ensure waste management (categorization, storage and disposal) is planned and executed Participate in contract strategy, scope of work, schedules and estimates to ensure cost and schedule meet Teck's requirements for best value and quality Issue Purchase orders, contract notifications, requisitions and single source justifications Manage and coordinate daily contractor resources and tasks Manage, review and update project costs and schedules Act as the qualified coordinator for overlapp
