Job Overview Responsible for production of fiber optic assemblies and ensure quality specifications are met. Assembly of fiber optic cables using welded fiber optic arrays. Testing of cable assemblies using standard and specialized electro-optical devices. (Required on-site training) Job Requirements Operate automatic production equipment for fiber optic connector manufacturing Collecting measurements of fiber optic assemblies Routine maintenance of a fiber optic welding platform - cleaning and adjusting Offering feedback to enhance performance of fiber optic welding platform Must work well with others in a collaborative environment Termination of fiber optic cables What your background should look like Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, optical engineering or technology or a combination of engineering degree work and 1+ year(s) of associated work experience High school diploma required; AA degree or equivalent preferred Required Experience & Skills Typically, 2-4+ years of related manufacturing or process technician experience Strong attention to detail and quality orientation Manual dexterity for fine and precise handwork Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word Preferred Experience: Prior experience operating CNC or automated production equipment Experience handling fiber optics Opto-mechanic
