Assistant Technician I Dallas, TX, Dallas, Texas, United States T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. The Role T1 Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Technician I to join our Equipment Technician Department. This role supports the maintenance and performance of solar manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the solar industry, and demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving. What You'll Do: - Assist Equipment Technicians in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing solar manufacturing equipment and machinery. - Monitor equipment performance and report irregularities or malfunctions to senior technicians or supervisors. - Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and support calibration procedures. - Help maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. - Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications under supervision. - Follow all safety, quality, and operational protocols in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment. - Assist with troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on
