What the role involves Independently manage and control the general ledger Reconcile general ledger accounts with analytical records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank statements, fixed assets, and travel orders Prepare, control, submit, and reconcile tax records and all monthly tax returns (e.g., VAT, VAT-S, VAT-ZP) to the tax authorities, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all required tax documents Calculate and record depreciation, interest, foreign exchange differences, and accruals Monitor and apply laws and regulations in the fields of accounting, finance, and taxation Prepare reports according to management instructions, including submissions to the Croatian National Bank (HNB), the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS), and other regulatory bodies Perform regular reconciliations with customers and suppliers Assist with other operational tasks within the accounting and finance department as needed What we are looking for Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting Proficient in MS Office applications Strong analytical thinking and a systematic approach to problem-solving Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks Ability to
