Business Development Specialist Job Location (US/Canada) MI-Southfield, Main Office | Job Location (UK) Overview Business Development Specialists (BDS) are responsible for supporting assigned communities in achieving sales goals, increasing occupancy, and driving revenue growth. They partner with community teams on sales pipeline management, inventory management, Lease Purchase Program (LPP) sales, and brokered home sales and listings. In addition, they collaborate with assigned Closing Agents to help ensure audits and funding activities are completed accurately and on time. Job Duties Assists current and prospective residents with the sales application process, including communicating payment requirements, negotiating pricing, clearing conditions, coordinating the closing process, and submitting applications to financial institutions. (Essential) Produces weekly targets for applications and sales; develops a plan with each community to ensure targets are obtained. (Essential) Provides marketing insights and recommendations to assigned communities to support sales and occupancy goals. (Essential) Collaborates with communities and customers to manage sales approvals, including reviewing credit decisions, communicating outcomes, resolving unclosed approvals, and improving closing percentages. Maintains the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system by partnering with communities to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. Maintains required licenses as applicable.
