About this role

Metrologist Mojave, CA Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking a Metrology Technician at Level II or III to support manufacturing operations. The Metrology Technician will ensure the precision and accuracy of measurement systems, tools, and components. This position involves operating advanced metrology equipment, supporting vehicle integration of manufactured assemblies, manufacturing tooling setup, performing inspections, troubleshooting measurement challenges, and maintaining the integrity of metrology processes. Candidates must have a manufacturing development background and relevant experience in complex systems integration. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with a strong technical background in tooling fabrication and advanced manufacturing support. They possess expertise in operating and troubleshooting advanced metrology equipment, such as laser trackers, and portable arms, and have a proven ability to integrate CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD) into alignment workflows. This individual excels in precision measurement and dimensional analysis, with a deep understanding of GD&T principles and their application to complex manufacturing and tooling.
