EH&S Specialist Mojave, CA Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. Position Summary Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist II is responsible for developing and implementing EH&S policies, procedures, training, and ensuring that the organization complies with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations. This includes providing training, conducting inspections and assessments, reviewing training programs, reviewing of policies and procedures, researching regulatory requirements, and handling and managing hazardous waste. An EH&S Specialist II may be expected to attain and maintain certain professional certifications and complete continuing training in some areas. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Review and develop company EH&S policies and procedures. - Understand and abide by all company policies and procedures. - Research and interpret applicable EH&S regulatory requirements, as necessary. This would include those from Cal/OSHA, DOT, EPA, and DTSC, among other federal, state, and local agencies. - Support manufacturing and operations
