About this role
Avionics Operations Engineer Mojave, CA Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking a level I or II Avionics Engineer to support integration, testing, and operations of hypersonic aircraft electrical and avionics systems. The avionics system is critical to mission success and interfaces with every subsystem, therefore this position will include collaborating with other system owners to understand test requirements and operations support needs. You must be comfortable receiving direction and guidance from lead avionics engineers and taking ownership of your responsibilities. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Support integration, test, and operations of hypersonic vehicle launch system avionics and electrical systems - Write and perform procedures - Address vehicle discrepancies - Support vehicle system trouble shooting - Maintain configuration control over major avionics system elements including wiring diagrams, 3D CAD, work orders, etc. - Coordinate with other subsystem leads to develop requirements, test plans, and procedures - Coordinate with engineers across a broad spectrum of disciplines to understand requirements and engineer technical solutions - Perform analysis to gauge system design adequacy and performance to meet program requirements - Coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure technical and programmatic requirements are met - Coordinate with external
