About this role
Youth Activities Specialist Starbase, TX SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. YOUTH ACTIVITIES SPECIALIST This unique role will be a part of SpaceX's education team. Our goal is to support the education of all children who are a part of the Starbase SpaceX community. As such, this job comes with many responsibilities but primarily entails designing and leading many bespoke Starbase youth programs, especially as they relate to extracurriculars and camps. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design and execute on camp programming (e.g., Summer Odyssey, Thanksgiving camp, winter break camp, spring break camps) - Design a bespoke, rigorous, enriching aftercare program curriculum - Create an intentional calendar of events and programs throughout the year that impacts all Starbase children - Support the Starbase Education and Ad Astra teams in achieving their goals in academic excellence and social-emotional wellness - Lead groups of teachers and aides in executing programming - Work with the broader Starbase community (e.g., parents) in further building youth programming BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree - Experience building and managing significant projects to high levels of success - Experience working in education environments with strong achievement PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Has experience building and implementing programs - Is passionate about disruptive educational opportunities - Has experience in prioritization and
