Youth Activities Coordinator Starbase, TX SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. YOUTH ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR This unique role will be a part of SpaceX's Starbase Education team. Our goal is to support the education of all children who are a part of the Starbase SpaceX community. As such, this job comes with many responsibilities but primarily entails designing and leading many bespoke Starbase youth programs, including our daily afterschool program (Afterschool Club), camps held throughout the year, and a series of youth activity programs for kids throughout the year. This individual will work closely with the education director throughout the year. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead the afterschool program for Ad Astra students daily - Design a bespoke, rigorous, enriching aftercare program curriculum - Design and execute on camp programming (e.g., Summer Odyssey, Thanksgiving camp, winter break camp, spring break camps) - Create an intentional calendar of events and programs throughout the year that impact all Starbase children - Support the Starbase Education and Ad Astra teams in achieving their goals in academic excellence and social-emotional wellness BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience managing projects in a school setting - Experience working in education environments PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Experience building and implementing programs - Passionate about disruptive educational opportunities - Experience in
