About this role

INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST As part of the SpaceX Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team, you will be the responsible owner of Hawthorne Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics Programs. This position will be responsible for ensuring that industrial hygiene and ergonomic practices are integrated into all aspects of the SpaceX workplace. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as the site's subject matter expert for the industrial hygiene program. - Serve as the site's subject matter expert for the ergonomic program. - Conduct on-site reviews of work processes and layouts to identify ergonomic stressors, develop common sense solutions, and follow through on implementation of solutions. - Develop and implement solutions that resolve industrial hygiene and ergonomic risks. - Lead root cause investigations into significant events within the field of expertise. - Develop, implement, and improve upon industrial hygiene programs including but not limited to: - Industrial and office ergonomics - Respiratory protection - Chemical hygiene - Exposure control planning - Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other applicable regulatory agencies. - Collaborate with EHS team members to complete job hazard assessments and provide subject matter expertise consultative support for industrial hygiene and ergonomic hazards. - Conduct
