About this role

Facilities Specialist Hawthorne, CA SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. FACILITIES SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead construction and facilities related construction projects and upgrades pertaining to new production lines, office spaces, improvements or industrial upgrades - Assist with the design, development, and issuance of drawings, documentation, and reports for construction and facilities in aerospace, large commercial or industrial type projects - Verify maintenance is being completed and coordinate all repair, build, and contingency systems efforts for HVAC, electrical, cranes, facility systems (e.g. lighting, doors, roof leaks), security systems, and fire protection systems - Communicate and deliver building/maintenance activities and schedule to personnel, subcontractors and material suppliers to effectively and efficiently execute targeted deadlines - Write, negotiate, and manage scope across multiple disciplines related to construction and facilities - Maintain interior office and factory cleanliness - Plan, set up, and execute events for VIPs, vendors, and internal staff - Recommend move plans and help with office relocations - Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted, and insured - Help support and manage campus services such as the bike program, laundry program, and office supplies - Assist with badging, ITAR, NDA requirements, and safety training - Create RFPOs, and assist the manager with furniture and vendor selection -
