CNC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (STARSHIP) - LEVEL 4/5 The CNC Machine Maintenance team provides mechanical, electrical, and control support to production and development machining and fabrication teams at SpaceX. A wide variety of machine configurations and OEMs are supported, including 5-axis gantries, 5+ axis mill-turn applications, large vertical lathes, horizontal boring machines, spin-forming lathes, water jets, and press brakes. The CNC Machine Maintenance Technicians are responsible for repairing, performing preventive maintenance, and modifying the machinery. The position will require collaboration and critical thinking to troubleshoot unique equipment issues and develop quick resolutions in a demanding environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintain and repair all assets to ensure their proper operating condition - Provide preventative and correct maintenance on various complex CNCs: 5-axis milling, mill turn applications, horizontal and vertical lathes - Troubleshoot and repair control and electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output, and field sensors - Troubleshoot and repair various machine tool hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters - Troubleshoot and repair machine tool mechanical systems, including ball screws, linear rails, guideways, and gearboxes - Drive forklifts and company vehicles - Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the
