About this role

Analyst/GIS Las Vegas, NV, United States The Analyst/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is the local administrator for electronic mapping, drafting and facility information maintenance processes. The incumbent maintains current knowledge of all Southwest Gas GIS applications including but not limited to: ESRI ArcGIS/ArcFM, field mobile solutions, AutoCAD, GPS software and hardware, engineering modeling applications, document management software, and Company-specific manuals and procedures. This position evaluates workflow processes and initiates system efficiencies; creates and executes advanced spatial data queries using geoprocessing tools, Python programming language and/or SQL queries; performs analyses to support data requests for State, DOT and operations pipe integrity programs; acts as a liaison between their division and corporate GIS System Administrator; and provides leadership in the GIS department in the supervisor's absence.
