Quality Engineer I/II Louisville, Colorado Position Overview: Solid Power is seeking a Quality Engineer I/II to support and improve manufacturing and quality initiatives by applying developing professional expertise to resolve a variety of issues for our solid-state electrolyte and battery cell pilot lines. This role supports hands-on manufacturing processes that include electrolyte production, cell build, and pilot-scale operations, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, and R&D to analyze manufacturing and quality data, maintain and improve standard work and implement core quality tools. A Quality Engineer receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments and contributes to investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions with increasing independence, ensuring alignment with internal procedures, industry standards and safety requirements. Job Duties: - Collect, organize, and analyze quality data (incoming, in-process, and final) using quality methods to identify and communicate trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. - Perform statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics, normality checks, capability studies) and escalate atypical or complex results for review. - Prepare quality reports by summarizing data, documenting observations, highlighting trends, and giving recommendations. - Develop, update, and maintain inspection and sampling plans; exercise judgment in adapting standard procedures as needed. - Maintain and improve yield reporting and control charts; investigate out-of-control signals and support containment and root cause analysis. - Support shop floor and lab activities by monitoring processes and equipment performance, identifying quality concerns, and recommending corrective actions. - Define and document test/inspection methods, measurement approaches, and sample selection in collaboration with engineering and
