Job Description: SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sets up and operates manual lathes, manual milling machines, drill presses, presses, grinders, saws and other machines to construct or repair parts with various metals. SPECI FIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Works from factory work orders, prints, written specifications, sketches or verbal instructions. Uses all necessary machinists' hand tools including scrapers, chisels, files and measuring instruments. Utilizes knowledge of shop mathematics, charts and tables. Uses standard bolts, screws, threads and tapers, etc. to efficiently plan work.
