Job Overview We are seeking a Technical Writer responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that communicates complex technical concepts related to our autonomous surface vessels. This requires strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other team members to produce high-quality documentation throughout the product development process. Responsibilities - Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications and requirements - Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, system manuals, specifications, and other technical guides for our autonomous surface vessels - Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation that is easy for end-users to understand - Ensure that all documentation adheres to industry standards and best practices, as well as any relevant DoD regulations and guidelines - Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity, ensuring that it meets the needs of our target audience - Work closely with the product development team to stay updated on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables - Continuously update and improve existing documentation based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and internal teams - Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in technical writing and documentation Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field - Experience
