Marine Maintenance Engineer Austin, TX, Austin, Texas, United States Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. Job Overview We are seeking a Marine Maintenance Engineer to support maintenance teams responsible for executing maintenance and repair activities supporting Saronic's 150+ ft. Marauder platform. This role is designed for hands-on marine engineers with broad technical exposure across vessel systems, supporting rapid, high-intensity maintenance periods. Responsibilities - Execute maintenance and repair across: - Diesel engines and propulsion systems - Automation, sensors, and control systems (experience strongly desired) - Pumps, motors, and auxiliary machinery - Electrical generation and distribution systems - Fluid transfer systems (fuel, lube oil, cooling water) - HVAC and environmental systems - Support troubleshooting of integrated vessel systems - Perform inspections, testing, and preventive and corrective maintenance tasks - Assist with overhauls, component replacements, and system repairs - Maintain accurate CMMS documentation and maintenance records - Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures and marine safety protocols - Support logistics, staging, and execution of flyaway maintenance operations Qualifications - 3 - 8 years of experience in marine engineering or vessel maintenance - Experience across multiple marine systems - Background as: - Licensed engineer (2AE preferred), or - Military marine engineering, or - Commercial vessel engineering experience - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability - Familiarity with marine systems and operational environments - Willingness and ability to travel frequently, up to 75% of working
