Job Overview We are seeking talented and motivated marine designers and drafters to support the development of autonomous surface vessels. This role will provide hands-on experience in traditional vessel design and advanced autonomous technologies; driving impact in defense innovation. Responsibilities - Support new vessel construction through detailed 2D and 3D modeling and technical drawing production - Create and modify ship construction drawings - Work directly with naval architects, marine engineers, and electrical engineers on new vessel design implementation - Maintain strict drawing standards - Create documentation for marine regulatory compliance Qualifications - Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology or similar field of study - Minimum 3 - 5 years of CAD drafting experience - Strong fundamentals in one or more areas of vessel design: general design, mechanical design, electrical design, structural design, and piping design - Knowledge of maritime regulatory requirements, construction tolerances, and vessel construction processes and sequences - Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software like NX, ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, and Rhino Benefits - Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of services - Dental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision care - Saronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependents - Time Off: Generous PTO and Holidays - Parental Leave: Paid maternity
