Position Overview: Saronic is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Captain to conduct the end of line testing and commissioning of our mid-sized autonomous surface vessel, Marauder. In this critical role, you will ensure the safe and efficient navigation of the vessel, while conducting commissioning tests and builder sea trial testing operations in support of cutting-edge autonomous systems development. Your responsibilities will include supervising the onboard crew, monitoring vessel performance, managing operational systems, and collaborating closely with onshore teams to achieve mission objectives. You will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of autonomous vessel operations, contributing significantly to both testing and commissioning initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maritime operations, exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, and demonstrate effective leadership skills. A steadfast commitment to safety and adherence to maritime regulations is essential for ensuring the highest standards in vessel operations.
