Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support our manufacturing operations in the development of precision parts for Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs). The ideal candidate will have experience programming CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) and a deep understanding of machining processes and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and production teams to create high-precision parts that meet rigorous military specifications. Responsibilities: - CNC Programming: Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining processes for complex components used in autonomous maritime systems. - Toolpath Development: Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to generate efficient and precise toolpaths, ensuring high-quality output and minimal machine downtime. - Machine Setup and Operation: Assist in setting up and operating CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials, and ensuring machines run at optimal efficiency. - Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate programs and ensure parts meet the required tolerances. - Quality Assurance: Perform in-process inspections and collaborate with quality control teams to ensure parts are within specified tolerances and meet the high standards required by the DoD. - Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, R&D teams, and production staff to optimize manufacturability, solve technical challenges, and ensure seamless integration of components into the ASV systems. -
