Sr. Staff Strategic Power Conversion Technologist Catania, , Italy Company Description: Job Description: As a Sr. Staff Power Conversion Technologist, you will serve as a key technical thought leader within the Performance Computing Power organization. You will shape and influence strategic product and technology roadmaps, with a focus on the power distribution architecture spanning from the rack bus bar to the ASIC voltage regulator (VR). Your mission is to drive compelling system level innovation, establish the right factors of merit, and deeply analyze architectural tradeoffs to ensure that Renesas maintains market leadership in high performance power delivery. Key Responsibilities In this forward looking, pathfinding role, you will translate market challenges into long term architectural direction and technology strategy. Core responsibilities include: Engaging deeply with top, market-defining customers to understand emerging system challenges and requirements. Modeling, simulating, and analyzing power converters and full power distribution architectures. Evaluating, synthesizing, and comparing technology options required to realize next generation architectures. Assessing manufacturing flows and identifying critical process considerations for advanced 3D heterogeneous power packaging. Developing long-term technology roadmaps spanning packaging, manufacturing processes, and IP development. Identifying opportunities for differentiated, disruptive products and power technology capabilities. Leading advanced feasibility studies, developing detailed specification documents, and driving early prototyping with cross functional engineering teams. Creating methodologies and tools to define and track key KPIs and factors of merit that articulate technical value.
