Essential Responsibilities• Installation, modification and repair of automated industrial control equipment• Design, plan, install and maintain industrial control equipment and instrumentation such as loop controller, variable frequency drives, solid state reduced voltage starters, level controls, ethernet motor controls centers, belt scales, and control panels• Thorough understanding of electrical systems• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, PLC's and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and safety circuits• Install, troubleshoot and repair electric motors and equipment (120, 240 and 480V)• Knowledge of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all electrical test equipment used to perform electrical/electronic repairs of production equipment• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled and document finished work• Contact vendors to source replacement components for all electrical/electronic equipment• May drive a pick-up truck or maintenance vehicle in the plant and/or to pick up parts from local vendors• Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Strong machine electrical background• I/O knowledge (hardwired/discrete, digital/ethernet, and analog) and the ability to read electrical schematics• Computer skills - Windows environment, loading and setup of various software platforms desired• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems• Ability
