Manager of SAP BASIS and Security Alameda, CA As a Manager of SAP BASIS and Security at Penumbra, you will play a critical role in deploying capabilities to meet the company's near and long term goals. You will oversee the SAP technical landscape within a regulated medical device environment. This role demands deep expertise in SAP BASIS administration and integration technologies, along with strong leadership capabilities to guide a team of technical professionals and collaborate cross-functionally across business and IT units. You will be the go-to expert for ensuring system stability, performance, and seamless integration across SAP and non-SAP platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring secure, compliant, and integrated SAP operations that support critical business functions such as manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory reporting. What You'll Work On SAP BASIS Leadership • Select, manage, train, and develop staff. Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans. • Manage and mentor BASIS administrators supporting SAP S/4HANA and BTP, and vendor relationships. • Oversee system performance, availability, and scalability across development, QA, and production environments. • Lead SAP upgrades and patching with minimal disruption to validated systems. • Manage system landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD) and transport management. • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place. • Lead BASIS-related initiatives including system refreshes, cloud transitions, and disaster recovery planning. • Drive continuous improvements for improved reliability and stability of S4 HANA and integrations.
