CBS Colorado is searching for someone enthusiastic about the future of TV news and digital consumption. This is a role that combines the skills of an assignment editor and a digital content producer. The ideal person will help plan, produce, and develop stories across streaming, digital, social, and broadcast platforms. This is a great opportunity to be in a newsroom that not only values breaking news but puts a premium on context, depth, and storytelling. Responsibilities: · Help lead and communicate coverage during breaking news, with the focus on accuracy, urgency, and balance · Monitor law enforcement, fire, and official social media communications, and make “beat-checks” to determine story coverage · Understand and support our brand of Covering Colorado First, which requires identifying stories that impact the community · Create and edit engaging and creative content for digital platforms · Guide newsroom logistics and provide editorial support for MSJs, producers, and phot
