About this role
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Class Irving, TX Owens Corning , we global in scope - human in scale. This position is part of the Irving's Plant Maintenance Team and plays a role in improving overall reliability and performance of manufacturing and infrastructure equipment. This opportunity is critical to the performance and continued growth of our Roofing plant. Job Description : Installs, modifies, or maintains plant equipment and assists in determining appropriate methods to accomplish these tasks. Inspects plant equipment to identify potential problems prior to breakdown occurrent. Ability to precision align belts, gears or direct coupled shafts using proper tools to specified tolerances. Answer line calls in a prompt manner and carry required tools to complete work safety and efficiently. Complete scheduled jobs and work orders as assigned. Assist during process upsets as needed. Participate in safety and plant trainings. Participating in Root Cause Analysis and TPM meetings Requirements : High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old Thinking under pressure, making quick and strategic decisions Working independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility. Show initiative, be a self-starter, and be able to train and coach others. Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner. Operate a computer, learn SAP and Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerP
