Head of Compute Capital Markets San Francisco, California, United States About the Role As the Compute Capital Markets Leader focused on infrastructure, you will help shape and drive the strategic investment decisions behind OpenAI's compute infrastructure. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with engineering, research, finance, and external partners to secure the infrastructure that powers our mission. Compute is the engine of AI progress. Access to world-class infrastructure enables the best researchers to build the best models, which in turn deliver increasingly powerful intelligence to people and businesses around the world. Capital Strategy & Financing - Translate compute demand, GPU procurement, data center development, and power infrastructure into clear, investable frameworks for lenders, investors, and strategic partners - Build durable financing architecture for hyperscale AI infrastructure-not just individual transactions, but repeatable long-term strategic advantage - Partner across Finance, Treasury, and Capital Markets to optimize capital structure, expand financing capacity, and reduce cost of capital - Develop innovative financing structures across debt, structured capital, partnerships, and alternative financing vehicles Investment Planning & Decision Support - Build and maintain rigorous financial and investment models for highly structured infrastructure projects - Support compute strategy, capacity expansion, supply agreements, and capital allocation decisions across infrastructure investments - Develop frameworks for return on capital, deployment speed, risk, scalability, and long-term platform economics - Evaluate partnership opportunities that improve capital efficiency, accelerate deployment timelines, or create strategic infrastructure advantage Capital Markets & External Engagement - Engage banks, institutional investors, infrastructure funds, and strategic capital
