About this role
Project DevOps Engineer Hanover, MD, United States The Project DevOps Engineer serves as a core member of the Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) software group. This role serves as the interface between OTECH Software Engineers and Corporate managed DevOps tools. They are responsible for creating, implementing, and optimizing DevOps processes across OTECH projects. OTECH produces and maintains unique underwater systems - typically for US Navy and other US Government Department of Defense customers. Our projects are all one-of-a-kind. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter who is an effective communicator with 5+ years of experience in DevOps related efforts. • Engage with software leads to meet OTECH CI/CD needs. • Perform OTECH administrator role to handle users and configuration for tools hosted by corporate IT. • Function as the OTECH representative for corporate IT and Software Center of Excellence DevOps initiatives. • Design, build, and optimize efficient CI/CD pipelines such as automated unit testing, static code coverage, and production of metrics reports. • Develop and manage system monitoring and alerting capabilities. • Manage and monitor system access controls, authorization mechanisms and user account privileges. • Function as a liaison between users and corporate IT to help troubleshoot and diagnose developer related issues. • Monitor how government sensitive information is being stored and shared, including principles of least privilege and how programs are utilizing Corporate tools. • Serve as a technical resource for software development teams by guiding and enabling the adoption of DevOps practices, tools and workflows to improve development
