Senior Accountant, Technical Revenue Austin; New York City; Palo Alto MongoDB is the next-generation database that helps businesses transform their industries by harnessing the power of data. We're looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented and hands-on individual to join the Revenue Team as a Senior Accountant, Technical Revenue. This role will be based out of our Austin, Palo Alto or NYC office and will primarily be responsible for analyzing and reviewing complex revenue transactions, providing direction on technical revenue accounting issues and articulating accounting impact to our business partners during the contract negotiation process. In addition, this role will participate in month-end and quarter-end close activities and adhoc projects. Team Description The Revenue team is an extremely visible, high-performing team, ultimately responsible for accurate financial reporting of revenue. This will entail performing monthly close procedures, preparing detailed write-ups of revenue arrangements and providing recommendations for accounting-related terms during negotiations of revenue contracts. Additionally, this team is also responsible for designing and maintaining controls over reporting of revenue and assisting in quarterly forecasting activities for revenue and billings.
