The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment. This will be located at our Woodbine Quarry in Chapman, KS. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to work safely at all times Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu and Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Mechanical analysis Time Management Detail orientated Problem-solving skills Troubleshooting Mechanical controls Minimum Experience Required HS Diploma or GED required Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu and Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs Certification from a trade school is preferred A CDL and a clean driving record Must have a valid driver's license Work Environment This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface mine setting.
